Mirror for the Bath

Thinking of getting this mirror for one of the bathrooms in the new house...not sure whether to try to ship it or let friends bring it over as a 'thanks for having us staying...' It is in the sale and it would be absolutely perfect.

My Perfect Sofa

I know I have shown you pictures of this sofa by Pottery Barn before,but I just love it. I just have to think of the best way of getting it to London... Also comes in arm chair. Nice,nice, nice!

Cozy living room by Pottery Barn. Big fan of the the big windows, the color scheme white, red and neutral for fall and the big ladder. It feels very welcoming and warm perfect for the spending time inside season.

End of summer, fall is around the corner. (My favorite season) Pottery Barn have new pictures and new collections out! Love the fall feeling of the below (even though it is fake leaves...). I wish London had  more colors in the fall Boston/ New England style!

Benjamin Moore together with Pottery Barn each season puts together a collection of paints. I love it, it matches the Pottery Barn style and feel and I wish it was a way of getting the actual colors not just sample decks in Europe... A selection of the colors below. Side Tables

Recently I was browsing the web for some more decoration ideas and came acress these two really nice console tables from Pottery Barn. The two top pictures are the same table from slighlty different angles. I like the chunkyness of them and have something similar in the hall way at the moment made of the left over kitchen counter top. If I have a massive living room or an open plan space I would get one for behind the sofa. I also like the idea of storing/ keeping nice looking things in the table on display.

Lovely sofas

I like large sofas, preferably looking like the traditional classic the 'Howard' model. We already have an armchair in the living room in this style and the sofa would go great with it. The Conran Shope does one model of this favorite called 'Oswald' and Pottery Barn one called 'Carlisle'. The below is of the Pottery Barn version and price wise it is actually quite reasonable, if it wasn't for the cost of actualy shipping it across the Atlantic...

Pottery Barn Craving...

Monday again... I have a Potttery Barn craving today and wish I could pop in for a browse and some shopping at lunch time... as that is not the case using the next best option their website to download a few decoration ideas. I really like the letter picture on the last picture below, might try to do something similar for our strudy.

Newport Bathroom

Pottery Barn's Newport furniture collection includes a full set of New England looking bathroom fixings. I am quite thorn between the classic Scandinavian, fully tiled wet room type bathrooms and the New England Style wood panelled, wooden floor stronger colors. As you can see on the pictures below, the Newport furniture in white with the black top looks very nice both with tiles in blue and beige or with the darker blue paint. I think this collection sold the Newport style for the next renovation... and I might even go for the wood panel.

Mirrors makes a small space look bigger and bonces light and they are not just for bath rooms and hallways. Use mirrors in the garden, hallway or living room to brighten and lighten. A few ideas of how to use mirrors in your home below.

California dreaming...

The below pictures makes me think about Malibou beach in California, not sure whether it is the light , the outdoor living withouth shelter or beach that makes me think about California dreaming... I would love to come home to this and a nice glas of Chardonay!
