Dining with Eames

This very nice modern and bright dining room is in a Victorian terrace in Fulham, SW London. The house belongs to Nathalie Edwards and her partner. They initially lived on the top floor in a flat, they later had the opportunity to buy the ground floor flat and convert the house back to its former glory. A fullhouse tour available at Living Etc. I especially like the painted white garden wall which completes the modern look and the large doors for light.

Tolomeo Mega

I love Tolomeo lamps from Italian Artemide, below is their Tolomeo Mega. If I had a large living room this lamp would make it to the top of the 'to-buy' list. The lamp is a floor standing and can be used in the living room, dining room or as a bedroom lamp, as it features a fully adjustable arm it is very handy.

More Eames

Voted Terrace Conrand favorite chair, this classic design it is also high up on my top design list. Why? Because they are comfy, stylish and can be used anywhere in your home.

the 'Ant' Chair

The Ant (Myran) chair is a Scandinavian Design classic, designed by Arne Jacobsen and produced by Fritz Hansen. The chair has been in production since 1952, but as it back then only had three legs it never became very popular.  If you want to buy your own and are in London, go to Skandium.

Black Dining Chairs

Black chairs add a graphic note to the dining table; either as a matching suite or as a single chair mixed in with wood chairs. Below is a black painted Tolix, two Eames chairs in molded plastic, the Arne Jacobsen designed 7-series and Eames molded plywood.

Eames DWR chairs

The DWR chair was designed by the design duo and husband and wife Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s has got a revival in the last couple of years. The chairs that comes as wire mesh, plastic and as a rocking chair in a number colors including white, black and blue and can be seen in design magazines and property ads all over the world. The chairs are versatile and can be used basically in any setting; in the living room as space saving seating, comfortable chairs for the home office or as dining chairs.
