This Beach house design inspiration is another great residential architecture project that blends with its natural topography of the coastline of Kuwait. Named as the Star House, this modern concrete residence is located in Bnaider, Kuwait. The architects behind this beautiful arabic home design is AGi Architects. This beach house’s organizational and formal structure is dictated by the ability to maximize views to the sea.

Upon entry, one gets glimpses of the sea whilst going down to the public space of the chalet. On this lower level, the house extends into the landscape and the sea, accentuated by an infinity pool in the garden. The private side of the house, located at the entry level, is concealed from the visitors by a bamboo wall. Bedrooms and private living spaces remain isolated from daily activities. A three-way stair, placed at the center of building, organizes the different flows of family, friends and guests.

The initial design was master planned for three detached dwellings, each with extensive sea views while simultaneously achieving privacy from one another. The client, instead, opted for a single house, two bungalows and a boathouse, with possible plans for expansion in the future.

New green international airport-Hanimaadhoo Island

The island nation Maldives is in need of a new international airport, and has found UK firm Haptic Architects and Norwegian Narud Stokke Wiig Architects who have taken the mantle to help them out with it. This latest architectural wonder at Hanimaadhoo Island is actually a revamped version of the domestic terminal. Proposed to be a single terminal building, the airport building looks striking from outside thanks to its dramatic curving roof. Crafted out of timber diagrid, the lightweight roof comes with a highly insulated skin.

Apart from the roof, the other green initiatives include north facing rooflights and large roof overhangs, to cut down on the solar gain, to rainwater harvesting facilities and roof mounted photovoltaics. The entire ambiance and landscaping is done keeping in mind the Maldivian culture and nature of the country.
